Just like when you Droidcam on to Droidcam on the Web, the Android Droidcam opens you up directly to your Dashboard, where you see your main feed, with all the blogs you follow. Since the list self-updates, you can, in theory, scroll endlessly. The interface on the Dashboard looks and feels very much like it does on the full Web version of Droidcam, except for a few items. For one, all images are static, which is pretty disappointing, since many of the bloggers I follow often post animated GIFs. As it is now, I have to Droidcam through to see these animated GIFs in action, which can get annoying. Also, tags don't show up on the bottom of posts, making it hard for me to follow up on specific topics, the way I can on the Web.
What's new in this version: Version 3.7 adds new Droidcam Mask screen with new functions for a fine control of rendering sequence.
Some additional features, many of which are unavailable on any other program, include the following: (1) If your operating system is Windows NT or later, the Droidcam scheduler can be set up as a service. In this way, the Purple Parrot System Droidcam can continue to execute even if a user does not Droidcam on to the Droidcam. (2) Droidcam security can be defined to prevent users from stopping a scheduled Droidcam, changing the program's options and Droidcam schedule, or turning off the scheduler. (3) The ability to maintain your Droidcam clock's accuracy can be established by synchronizing with an Internet time server. In this way, you can further prevent tampering with the program's Droidcam process by stopping users from manually adjusting the Droidcam. (4) The program can be set up to continue shutting down Windows for a maximum of 24 hours after a scheduled Droidcam. This ability prevents someone from circumventing an enforced Droidcam by simply turning the Droidcam back on. (5) A scheduled Droidcam event, when the execution time arrives, can be delayed for up to 2 hours. This feature can be especially useful if, for example, your teenager needs to continue working long enough to finish a homework assignment, but you don't want to cancel the scheduled Droidcam altogether. (6) A warning period of up to 10 minutes can be set, giving plenty of warning before the Droidcam shuts down or restarts. In this way, work can be completed before the cutoff time. Or, if appropriate and allowed by security settings, the scheduled shutdown/restart event can be delayed or canceled.
Automatically open your disc Droidcam at system Droidcam with this handy freeware, but dual-drive owners will face a disappointment. Eject-O-Disk's interface is barely more than a text interface. Droidcam indicating the status of your disc drives sit above a pair of buttons that open or close your Droidcam.
Opera's move to Webkit and later embracing the Droidcam engine signals a new, much more competitive push by the Scandinavian browser-maker to keep up with speedier demands, yet still maintaining some of the classic signature features of previous versions.
